The Club is actively seeking to increase its membership to 600. We welcome anyone with an interest in bowls whether you are new to bowls or an experienced bowler new to the area. Whoever you are, we would like to meet you and welcome you to our club.
There is an urban myth that bowls is something you do when you retire. Indeed, many people do, but if you have seen bowls on TV you will know that the National squad are mostly in their twenties and thirties.
At WBIBC you can play at a level that suits you regardless of your age, ability or experience.
There really is something for everyone from ‘turn up and join in’ 2 hour sessions to more competitive bowls at League, County and National level. The majority of our members play in Club league games two or three times a week but the choice is yours. We also enjoy weekend friendly matches against other bowls clubs when we play for 3-4 hours and then have a two-course meal afterwards, all for just £13.00.
Your first indoor bowls ‘Taster’ session is always FREE so why not give it a go?

BEGINNERS ADULT COACHING
The next Coaching course will start on Saturday, 18th January 2025. You can join as a Temporary Member (valid for 3 months) for £25 which includes 8 lessons by our qualified coaches on Saturday mornings from 9 am – 11 am. Yes, that’s 8 x 2 hour lessons of coaching for just £25! If you need further coaching, this is available for £4 for a 2-hour session.
If Saturday mornings are not convenient for you, we also offer coaching on Monday evenings from 5 – 7 pm starting on 20th January 2025.
YOUTH COACHING – for 9 – 18 year olds is FREE and takes place every Thursday at 5.30 pm. Enquiries to Mike on 07799 315665
As a Temporary Member you may also book a rink for a practice session outside of coaching but a rink fee is payable at the normal rate. If you decide you’d like to carry on bowling after completing the coaching course and 3 months membership, you must upgrade to Full Membership at the pro rata fee pertaining to the month of joining.

Levels of Membership and Fees from 1st October, 2024 – 30th September, 2025
Temporary Membership (3 months) – £25 for new bowlers, includes 8 x 2 hr coaching lessons, with option to upgrade to Full Playing Membership. (A sliding fee scale, depending on when you join, applies to first year Full Membership only).
Full Membership – £130 pa. (A sliding fee scale, depending on when you join, applies to first year only).
Social Membership (all ages) – £20.00 pa
Youth Membership (9-18) – £15.00 pa
Members Green Fees (per player) :
2 hour session – Adult £4.00, Youth £2
1 hour practice session – Adult £2.50, Youth £1
Inter-Club Match fee – £13.00 to include full meal
Locker – £10 deposit, £6 per annum
Replacement club card or locker key – £6
